Dear God, it’s me πΌ Sometimes, I just don’t understand… I see kind and good people facing really tough times. Some get sick, some lose their jobs, and some go through really hard things like accidents or having a sick child or even loosing a pet that they really loved. It doesn’t seem fair. If they are good, shouldn’t good things happen to them?
There is a verse in 1 Peter 1:7 that says:
These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold.
God: I see your heart, My child, and I know you care. You don’t like seeing people you love go through hard things… but tough times don’t mean I’ve left them. I am always with them, just like I am always with you when you go through something very hard or difficult to understand!
Think about gold. Before it shines, it has to go through fire. The fire doesn’t destroy the gold—it makes it purer and stronger. Life’s struggles can be like that too. They don’t come to break you but to shape you into something even stronger.
Or think about a butterfly. It has to struggle to break out of its cocoon. If someone helps too soon, its wings won’t be strong enough to fly. It’s the struggle that prepares it for the world!
And what about a scraped knee? If you just cover it up without cleaning it, it won’t heal properly. Sometimes, healing takes time and even hurts a little, but it’s what makes you whole again and stronger!
So… You don’t let hard things happen to hurt us?
God: That’s right! I don’t cause pain, but I can use it to help people grow, to bring you closer to Me, and to remind you that you are never alone. Never! Even in the hardest moments, I am here… holding you, helping you, and giving you strength to go through this very hard time! Even when it hurts really bad!
Did You Know? π€
Butterflies struggle to get out of their cocoons. If someone helps them too soon, their wings don’t get strong enough to fly! π¦ The hard part is actually what makes them strong enough to soar!
A Simple Truth to Hold Onto
Whenever I see someone going through something hard, help me remember this:You are with them… and You are making them stronger.
So today, I will trust that even when life feels unfair, You are still working for good.
Amen
